Q1 Neck Massager RFQ and Configuration Check
How to write a Meilan Q1 quote request that names the functions, set contents, instructions and packaging, and how to check the returned quote line by line.
A one-line request such as “Please quote Q1” will get a price. It may not be the price of the set you plan to sell. The Meilan Q1 can be supplied with different functions, accessories, instructions and packaging, and each of those choices can change what the quote covers.
This article shows how to write a Q1 quote request that names the configuration, and how to check the returned quote line by line before you accept it. For comparing quotes from several suppliers on the same basis, see our like-for-like quote comparison for neck massagers.
1. Why “Q1” alone is not a complete request
The Q1 is a neckband massager with TENS pulse output, heating, three buttons on the device and a Bluetooth remote. Its product page asks buyers to match the heating, voice or remote configuration to its accessory list and user instructions, including any separately supplied gel pads. A model name identifies the product family; it does not tell the supplier which of these options you want in each retail set.
| Choice | Why it changes the quote | What to state in the request |
|---|---|---|
| Functions | Heating and any voice prompts add components, settings and instruction content | The functions you need, and the prompt language if voice prompts are offered for your version |
| Remote control | The remote is a separate part with its own battery | Whether each retail set includes a remote |
| Contact accessories | Gel pads or other contact accessories may be supplied with the device or separately | Whether accessories are included, how many per set and whether you need spare packs |
| Instructions | Language versions and accessory instructions are printed items with their own files | The languages for each market and which instructions must be in the box |
| Packaging | A brand box changes artwork, box dimensions and carton data | Standard packaging or your own box |
| Destination market | Labels and documents depend on where the product is sold | The country or region of sale |
2. Write the Q1 configuration line
Start the request with the reference values you are asking the supplier to quote, so any difference shows up in the reply. The table below combines the Q1 product page and Meilan’s Q1 specification sheet. Use it as the starting point and ask the supplier to confirm each line for the version being quoted.
| Field | Q1 reference value | Confirm in the quote |
|---|---|---|
| Output | TENS pulse with heating | That heating is part of the quoted version |
| Pulse modes | 10 modes: auto, acupuncture, hammering, kneading, tapping, massage, fist press, soothing, pulse and finger press | That the mode names in the manual and on the display match this list |
| Intensity | 16 levels | How intensity behaves when the mode changes (see below) |
| Contacts | Four contacts: two broad rear pads and two smaller side contacts | Which contact accessories, if any, the version requires |
| Controls | Three device buttons (power and mode, intensity down, intensity up), plus a Bluetooth remote with four buttons, a CR2032 coin cell and a weight of 17 g | Whether the remote is in the set and whether its battery is fitted |
| Timer | Automatic shut-off after 15 minutes | That the timer matches the instructions |
| Battery and charging | 3.7 V, 400 mAh lithium battery; DC 5 V / 1 A input through Type-C; about 180 minutes to charge; about 105 minutes of working time | Which charging cable or adapter is included |
| Size and weight | 157 × 138 × 30 mm, 104 g | That the dimensions refer to the quoted version |

Official Q1 product image. The display panel and three device buttons sit on one arm; the remote is a separate part to list in the request.
Two operating details from the specification sheet are worth writing into your product brief because customers notice them. When the mode changes, intensity returns to level 1. When the device is switched on, it gives no output until the plus button is pressed, and then starts at level 1. If your listing or manual describes modes and intensity, our article on neck massager modes versus intensity levels explains how to keep the two apart. The specification sheet also notes that the remote has no low-battery indicator, so the instructions should tell users to replace the coin cell when the remote stops responding. For how a remote and on-device buttons share the work, see remote versus on-device controls.
| Product reference: Meilan Q1 neck massager | |
|---|---|
![]() | The Q1 is a 104 g neckband with TENS pulse output and heating, 10 pulse modes, 16 intensity levels, a Bluetooth remote and Type-C charging. Its product page asks buyers to confirm the heating settings, included accessories and matching instructions for the exact set supplied. |
3. List accessories, instructions and packaging as separate lines
A quote can include an accessory in the unit price, list it as an option or leave it out without comment. Ask for each item on its own line, so you can see what the unit price covers.
| Item | What to ask for in the quote |
|---|---|
| Remote control | Included in each set or priced separately, and whether the CR2032 cell is fitted |
| Charging cable or adapter | Which one is included, since the device takes DC 5 V / 1 A through Type-C |
| Gel pads or contact accessories | Whether they are included, how many per set, the price and minimum for spare packs, and whether instructions for fitting, reuse, cleaning and storage are in the box. The product page notes that the reviewed material does not define these for accessory gel pads, so request them in writing |
| Manual and quick-start card | The languages for each market, and whether accessory instructions are included. Our guide to neck massager manual review covers what to check before printing |
| Retail packaging | Standard packaging or your own box, and who supplies the artwork |
| Master carton | Units per carton, carton size and gross weight for the packaging you choose |
For reference, Meilan’s Q1 specification sheet lists the following standard packaging.
| Q1 standard packaging | Value |
|---|---|
| Retail box | Mailer box with a vacuum-formed tray |
| Boxed unit size | 175 × 168 × 40 mm |
| Boxed unit gross weight | 215 g |
| Units per master carton | 72 |
| Master carton size | 54 × 50 × 36 cm |
| Master carton gross weight | About 16.5 kg |
The figures are consistent with each other: 72 boxed units at 215 g come to about 15.5 kg before the carton itself. A brand box with different dimensions will change the units per carton and the freight quote, so ask for new carton data with the packaging sample. Our article on neck massager packing data for freight quotes lists the fields a forwarder needs.
4. State the market and the documents you will need
Name the country or region where the Q1 will be sold. Labels, instruction languages and documents depend on it, and electrical pulse devices can fall under different rules from one market to another. Confirm the requirements for your market with your compliance advisor before ordering.
Meilan holds a Chinese design patent for the overall shape of the Q1 (CN 308640830 S, granted on 14 May 2024). A design patent concerns the product’s appearance in China. It is not a product certification and does not by itself extend to other countries, so treat it separately from the documents your market requires.
Then ask the supplier which documents exist for the Q1 configuration being quoted. A document issued for another model, or for a different Q1 version, does not cover your order. If a document is still needed, agree who arranges it and whether its cost sits in the unit price or is quoted separately.
5. Copy this Q1 request
The request below shows the structure. The values in brackets are placeholders to replace with your own.
| Q1 quote request | |
|---|---|
| Model and functions | Meilan Q1, TENS pulse with heating, [voice prompts: yes or no, language] |
| Set contents | Device, [remote: included or not], [charging cable or adapter], [gel pads: number per set], manual |
| Instructions | [Languages], including instructions for [remote, gel pads] |
| Packaging | [Standard packaging or brand box], [artwork supplied by] |
| Market and quantity | [Country of sale], [quantity per version] |
| Documents | Please list the documents available for this configuration |
| Please quote | Unit price for the set above, accessories and spare packs on separate lines, one-time charges on separate lines, packaging and carton data |
6. Check the returned quote line by line
When the quote arrives, read it against your request before you look at the price. A missing line usually means the item is either excluded or assumed, and both need an answer.
| Quote line | It should state | If it is missing, ask |
|---|---|---|
| Model and version | Q1 with the functions you listed | Which Q1 version the price refers to |
| Remote control | Included or optional, with the battery status | The price with and without the remote |
| Accessories | Gel pads or other accessories per set, and spare-pack terms | Whether they are included and on what terms |
| Instructions | Languages and accessory instructions in the box | Which instructions the quoted set contains |
| Packaging | Standard or custom, with box dimensions | Which packaging the price assumes |
| Carton data | Units per carton, carton size and gross weight | The carton data for the quoted packaging |
| One-time charges | Artwork, tooling or document costs on separate lines | Whether any one-time charge applies |
| Reference sample | The sample that represents the quoted configuration | Which sample you should approve against |
Ask the supplier to confirm open lines in writing and attach the confirmation to the quote. Once two or more quotes cover the same set, compare them with the steps in our like-for-like comparison guide, which separates recurring unit costs from one-time charges and delivery terms.
Questions buyers ask
Is the remote control part of the standard Q1?
Meilan’s specification sheet describes operation by a Bluetooth remote and by three device buttons. State in your request whether each retail set should include the remote, and ask whether its CR2032 cell is fitted before shipping.
Why does intensity drop back after a mode change?
According to the specification sheet, intensity returns to level 1 when the mode changes. Describe this in the manual and in customer support notes so users do not report it as a fault.
Can the standard carton data be used for a freight quote?
Only if you order the standard packaging. A different retail box changes the units per carton, carton size and weight, so use the carton data that comes with your packaging sample.
