PWM Control: Duty Cycle and Massager Evidence
PWM means pulse-width modulation: output is switched on for a proportion of a repeating period.
More context
A 25% duty cycle is on for one quarter of that period; 75% is on for three quarters.

What the term means
- PWM Control
Pulse-width modulation changes the fraction of each switching period spent on. Duty cycle, switching frequency and load behavior are separate parts of a PWM system.
Published implementation and related model scope
- Selection scope
The duty-cycle examples explain arithmetic, not an available model's settings.

How do duty cycle and switching frequency differ in PWM?
Duty cycle describes the proportion of a switching period spent on, while switching frequency describes how often that period repeats. At a twenty-five percent duty cycle, the signal is on for one quarter of each period; at seventy-five percent, it is on for three quarters. These are mathematical illustrations, not product settings. The load and driver determine how the switched signal becomes useful electrical or mechanical output. A motor's inertia, a heater's thermal response and an electrical stimulation circuit can respond differently. Consequently, the same duty percentage does not establish the same perceived intensity across products. The current catalog does not publish a model-specific PWM implementation, switching frequency or duty-cycle range.
Does PWM explain a product's advertised massage mode count?
PWM does not by itself explain an advertised massage mode count. A mode is a complete operating program and can involve timing, multiple outputs or a sequence of settings. PWM is one possible control technique within an electronic system. Sixteen selectable levels could be produced by different architectures, and the current F20 record does not reveal which is used. The distinction matters when a retailer wants to explain the product simply: the customer needs to understand the documented controls, while an unreported circuit term adds no reliable benefit. A published PWM design would still need its switching conditions and load context before supporting an efficiency or smoothness comparison.
Purchasing FAQ
Common buying questions
What does PWM stand for?
PWM stands for pulse-width modulation, a technique that changes the on-time fraction of a repeating signal.
Does 25% duty mean 25% perceived strength?
No. The load and system response determine the output.
Is switching frequency the duty cycle?
No. Frequency is repetition rate; duty is the on-time fraction.
Does F20's sixteen-level control prove PWM?
No. Its current record does not disclose the control circuit.
Are the 25% and 75% examples product settings?
No. They are mathematical illustrations only.
