Private Label Planning
How to Prepare a Clear Private Label Massage Device Brief
A private label request becomes easier to evaluate when commercial requirements and product requirements are separated. A concise brief gives both the buyer and manufacturer a shared basis for discussing the product route, sample scope and quotation.
Start with the market and sales channel
State where the product will be sold and how it will reach the customer. The destination market, retail channel and intended positioning influence language, packaging, documentation and the level of customization that should be reviewed.
- Target country or region
- Retail, distribution or online channel
- Intended product positioning
Separate brand assets from product changes
Logo placement, color and packaging are different from changes to massage functions, controls or structure. Listing these groups separately helps the manufacturer identify which requests concern presentation and which require product evaluation.
- Logo and color requirements
- Packaging and manual requirements
- Required functions and control preferences
Define the first decision milestone
A brief should explain what the buyer needs to decide next. That may be selecting a base model, comparing feasible configurations or preparing a sample. Keeping the first milestone clear prevents the initial discussion from becoming an unstructured list of options.
- Model shortlist
- Configuration review
- Sample and quotation scope
